How do oyu know for sure that you can take care of this child?  

I don't get how she has it all figured out at 17. I'm 25 and DH is 31. We have 3 year old twins. We make decent money, own a nice (but not extravagant) home, have two cars and struggle sometimes. Not buying it OP...

I never said I had it ALL figured out, I am sure we will struggle but we haven't struggled yet.

Where did you see an excuse in that statement? I'm not excusing or judging for that matter. However old she is and her womb count is none of my business or concern. I just hope and pray that she doesn't take on more than she can handle. But I won't sit here and try to make her feel bad about her decisions.

I highly doubt any Dr would say "no" in her situation. Plus, they can "staple" them now so it is reversible.

Granted this was many years ago, my sister had hers done at 19. I think the amount of children you have comes to play as well.

  my twins are 4 my son is 2. I am 34 and my husband makes a very large salary. Some times we even struggle. Once in a while, something unexpected comes up. For us the big one was me getting very ill right during the change in his career. 2weeks with no insurance during a very long hospital stay set us back for a bit. Some times things happen.
