pretty sure you either have to be a certain age or have a medical reason for getting your tubes tied. in most places anyway, you cant just say i dont want anymore kids so i want my tubes tied.

i havent heard much about other kinds of b/c other than the pill. but i know that theres always a chance, no matter how slight, of getting pregnant anyway.

I get the OP is young but why not be supportive a woman should only abort if she wants to I would never even bring that up unless she was saying she really did not know what she was going to do,had no money no means of taking care of a child....no job

as far as i saw everyone was supportive..

they were just making sure she knew of all her options, as is usually done on a lot of threads especially when the mother is young. she said adoption/abortion arent options for her, a few people asked why, but no one was really disrespectful about it that i saw.

she's 17 with soon to be 4 kids, its a pretty fair assumption that shes poor. children are expensive, and at 17 its not likely you have a lot of money, especially to support yourself and 4 children comfortably.

not trying to start an argument or anything was just saying i didnt really see anyone not being supportive lol differing opinions i suppose

I know you have to be 25 to get your tubes tied if you just want them tied. A friend of mine never wants kids and her Dr. said they won't do it before 21. But I've heard 25 is when most Dr.'s will do it.

I believe you can get it done before for certain reasons, like if you have X amount of kids. My neighbor is getting hers done after having 4 kids, she's 27 now. She was asking to have them done since she was like 16, when she had her first. And they refused. She wished she had gotten em done, cause she has 4 kids and she originally didn't want any. (Her kids are products of failed bc cause she had to take some medicine that conteracted the bc and cause of broken condoms. Her last two are 3 and 4 and they were cause of the failed bc.)

There's another girl on here who's 19, having twins which will be # 3&4 for her and she said her Dr. is letting her get hers done after her twins are born.

So I think it depends on the Dr.you see. Cause some seem to do it, some refuse until a certain age or for a certain reason.
