bleeding

i gave birth just about 10 days ago, and i'm still bleeding. how long does it usually take to completely stop bleeding? i've read that you can spot up to 2+ weeks.

also, i had a type 2 tear, and i was wondering when the stitches will dissolve?

If you have a csection it's ess time like 2 weeks, but vaginal it can be anywhere from 3-6wks...

not sure how long it will take for the stitches to disolve but in my specific case it has take me up to 6 weeks after birth for the bleeding to completely stop. There are days that is more than other or it will stop for a bit then come back.

I bled for 5 weeks with my first. The first 2 weeks were heavy, then like a normal period, then like spotting for the last week. My stitches took 7 weeks to dissolve. You will know when cause it itches like cra y

And I don't know about the stitches, I've never torn during childbirth.

yes i did. and holy smu*f that's a long time, and a lot of pads lol. my flow is at the brownish stage so i'm hoping it's gone asap! i feel like i'm wearing a diaper 24/7

I bled straight for about 7-8 weeks grrrr. I had a c section though. Had about a weeks final break then got my 1st pp period. Typical eh?

how long after delivering do you get your actual period?

Got my 1st real period about 9 weeks after delivering. The pp bleeding wasnt long after stopping grrrr! I was anemic for a while after.

It's normal to still bleed 10 days PP. With DD1 I bled the full 6 weeks. This time around I've been bleeding on and off. I'm almost 6 weeks PP. I also had an episiotomy & the stitches have been gone for maybe 2-3 weeks now?

i'm anemic as well and have been taking iron suppliments. i'm always extremely dizzy if i walk too long, and feel like fainting. this is why i wanted to know when i would stop bleeding. it sucks it lasts so long!

i'm 11 days pp and my stitches finally came out!
