Coffee and food stamps?

Can you buy coffee on food stamps? What about k cups?

Just curious!

I would assume so. U can buy chips and soda.

I'm sure you could. But K cups are expensive. I would think if you needed food stamps you wouldn't be able to afford k cups, lol.

I think it would depend on how much / how often you drink coffee. Regular coffee can lose it's flavor if you take forever to use it. So if you only have a cup like once a week or something you'd probably save money using the K Cups.

I know. SO wanted one for Christmas but with the amount of coffee he drinks there is no way we could afford the coffee for it...

Didn't you know people on foodstamps aren't allowed to have nice fancy things, even if they were gifts.

It's not too bad if you buy the re-usable K-cup. We got ours as a christmas gift last year and we were so excited we spent $60 a MONTH in K-cups the first couple months... then we realized that was insane and invested in the re-usable one. Since then the cost of k-cups seems to have come down a bit and we can get a box of 12 for like 6 bucks at the commissary.
