He finally agreed! but...
posted 16th Jan
So I posted a couple months ago that I was thinking of changing my baby's name but I couldn't get so on board for the longest. Well I finally did and got him to agree on the name I wanted since the get go that he didn't want. Her name now is Hailey Gianna. I'm just going to put her new name in the front. Her new name will be Delilah Hailey Gianna. Yes, huge name. She's 7 months but I don't want to regret this forever if I don't do it. He wants Alice but will compromise.
For those of you wondering why I didn't just pick a different name from the get go, my so and I have very different tastes and couldn't agree on anything so we really rushed the name picking. After she was born, I just didn't feel like Hailey suited her. I thought maybe she'd grow into it but she didn't. I rarely call her by name in public or even at home. I just want to love my baby's name.
Will my daughter hate me for doing this?

Are you sure that you and SO both LOVE Delilah and you aren't going to want to change it again?

We agreed on a name around 6 months pregnant and I keep havin a feeling that its not going to suit her. We were stuck between Julia & Audrey and sometime I just feel like maybe we rushed to just agree on something. I LOVE Julia but I just want it to suit her. I love Delilah it was on out name list!

I know for sure I won't want to change it again. This is something that had been on my mind since a month after she was born. I've thought about it a LOT. I don't want top regret it years from now if I don't do it now.

I feel this is good, only if this is what you want to do. If Hailey doesn't fit her, Hailey doesn't fit her.

Julia is lovely. We really rushed the name picking process. We did it within a couple hours. I wish that I had thought about it more and feel stupid for it, but she's not even a year yet and names can be changed.

You aren't changing her whole name, you're adding a name.

I do love the name Hailey, but I've tried to get used to it but when I say her name, it doesn't feel right. When I call her Delilah or Lilah, it does.
