scary experience at the doctors today

well, went to the doctors for a checkup today. everything was going fine until they went to listen to the heartbeat. they ask me to lay down and they put the stuff on the dopler, she kept waving that thing around my belly and i was thinking whats taking her so long it dont usually take this long. then i heard a heartbeat and she listened longer than usual also. then she asked for me to roll onto my side then she checked the heartbeat that way. i am a small petite person, i only weight 119 right now at 28 weeks only weighed a hundred when i got pregnant in the first place...she said since i am so little that laying on my back at all even to rest not sleep is extremely dangerous at this point of pregnany. i have to stay off my back at all costs. basically the little 2 minutes that i was laying on my back at the doctors was cutting everything rapidly and the baby's heartbeat was going down 10 every min. it went down to 115 by me laying on my back, then when i layed on my side it shot all the way back up to 135. wowee. that was scary for me  

I've had that happen before. It had happened after I wasn't feeling him move at all either, so you can imagine the horror I was feeling. Turned out he just moved like waaaaaaay back so it was hard for them to find his heartbeat.

To stay off your back when you sleep, I suggest getting a body pillow. That helped me to stay on my side.

Yikes that is scary. I am hoping we find bun's heartbeat easily on Friday. It's been hard each time I have gone in. I'm so glad everything turned out good for you.
