How to tighten up my belly?

posted 16th Jan
So I am proud to say that since May of last year I went from not being able to even fit into the biggest pant size I could find in Target (size 20) to buying a size 15 today!!!!!
My legs are smaller, my arms are smaller, everything is smaller!
I still have a long way to go but the main thing I want to work on right now is tightening up my tummy. that damn flap from being pregnant makes it to where I have to pull my pants up over it which (IMO) looks horrible. And I bet with out having to pull it over my tummy I could fit into even smaller pants.

So, how to I tighten up my stomach? I know crunches work but is there anything else I can do? That will get faster results?

Pretty much just crunches and sit ups. Sit ups work better and are easier on your back and neck than a crunch. At least thats what my drill sergeants told me at basic training.

Sit up's you bend all the way up to your knees, and crunches you just go half way up?
And thanks!
I'm so happy! I really hope to loose another 10-15 by my birthday in April!

Wall push ups. stand facing a wall, feet shoulder width part 2-3 feet from the wall and do push ups. If you're doing them right, you'll feel the muscles tense up in your stomach

ETA: here is a video in case that didn't make sense.

Believe it or not crunches are actually bad for post baby belly. You can actually make it worse.

Something I do all day long is tighten my stomach. Washing dishes, watching TV, whatever I just tighten my core and I just picture pulling my belly button in towards my spine and hold it but, keep breathing. You can do that doing wall push ups too. I know this works because I've been doing this and I'm slowly but surely tightening the pooch. It trains your muscles to go back to what they were. I also work my legs (lazily because I don't get out much.)Whenever I'm standing in place, I stand on my very tippy toes and I can feel my calf muscle tighten and I stand like that the whole time. I do lunges randomly sometimes in the hallway. I get the most exercise chasing LO and going over the safety gate 150 times a day.
