Is it selfish to send your kids off to their grandparents for the night to go to an adult party?
My friend is throwing her husband a birthday party and I've been invited. There will be drinking and stuff like that. Nothing crazy though. I'm going to go and will send my kids off for the night.

I've been told by someone that it is selfish to throw my kids off on someone to party. But I never go to parties. Ever. Since I've had kids. And I rarely drink.

Absolutely positively not selfish at all, you deserve a night out too, especially since you said you haven't been to one since you have had kids.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! I'm always being told to go out and do something for myself so that my son can spend time with his grandparents. And that's by my MIL...

everyone needs a break now and again. it's not like you're out every other night partying it up.

My MIL takes DD AT LEAST every other weekend so DH and I can go on a date or have my sister and her bf over for drinks and cards.
