Sort of "update" on my 7week period.

I went to the doctor about it yesterday (tuesday) and he just said "That's not a doctor issue, it's a Family Planning Nurse issue, go see her" Can't see her untill monday afternoon. The doctor just seemed like he couldn't be bothered to deal with me, I was literally in there for a minute before he was said "ok bye".

I'm SOOOOO pissed off! The Family Planning Nurse at my doctors is only a nurse... she doesn't/can't do anything but give out BC advice. All she's going to say/do on Monday is send me back to the doctor! I know it.

I've stopped taking The Pill now (been off it about 3days) and I've mostly stopped bleeding, (Some brown/old blood coming out but atleast it's not heavy, thin, Bright red blood anymore.) So, in my eyes it was the pill making me bleed! I told the doctor this and asked if I could maybe go on a different pill and he just said "well you may be bleeding for a different reason, Not the pill" grrrr! In my eyes, it is the pill. because I started taking it and two days later I start bleeding..... bled for 7 weeks. stopped taking it then two days later the bleeding stops. aaaaaargh. Hate that they waste time like this fobbing people off all the time! Might just not go back on a pill, Seems like such a hassle at the moment! lol.

Sorry if this didn't make sense. :S Needed to get it out!! Doctors annoy me! lol.

that happened to me when i went on depo except mine lasted for like 3-4 months...i never went in for the second shot and never went back on any bc

3-4 months? Crazy!   If there's a chance I will bleed on other Pills I might just leave it. I can't be bothered with more bleeding. Periods are bad enough when they last the 4/5 days I used to get them. 7 weeks is just a piss take. lol.

So the doctor said it's not a doctor issue, but a family planning nurse issue...AND told you that it may not be from the pill?
Wow....incompetence at its finest right there.

I have no answers for you, but I had the same thing happen to me. With 3 different types of bc pills AND depo [1 shot! & I bled for the better part of a year]. And I had migraines on nuva ring. And there is no way in hell I will be putting smurf in my body that I cant regulate. lol.

I had to start taking Aygestin.. But when I stopped the pills, I started bleeding again. Then I started taking them again, but I had to wean myself off of them. But then I started bleeding again. I hated it. I vow to never use BC again. lol. Seriously.

thats what i said when i was on depo...one shot and i bled for 3-4 months and i never took and bc again....its just not worth it imo

I know. Ill stick to condoms and spermiside. Im not putting another thing in my body that will mess it up. Now everytime I start my period, I wonder if Im going to bleed like a period or bleed forever. And it shouldnt be like that.

I bleed for six months on the depo shot. I decided to just stop getting it. Made no sense because I cant have sex. They say after your 3rd shot you will stop bleeding but that's way too long.

yeah, i know that feeling....i was so relieved while i was pregnant because i knew i didn't have to worry about it for at least a little while.

What is the Depo Shot anyway? lol. Not sure it's called that in the UK. But i'm not sure whats it's called anyway, lol. I've only ever been on The Pill cause it had always worked so well for me. So never had to look into anything else. x

depo provera, its a shot you get every 3 months for bc. I only got it because my sister had it and she kept going on and on about how good it was and you didnt have to remember to take a pill everyday, im bad about remembering stuff like that. I was younger and didnt do any research into it, if i had i most likely never would have got it

ah yea, it's the same as what they do here too. I'd never get that for the simple reason i'm terrified of needleS! lol. My boyfriends sister just got the Implant. (a small long thing they put under your skin for bc) I'd never get that either. lol. x

anybody else here ever notice that birthcontrols are the only meds & procedures that a dr will willingly hand out or do that's sole purpose is to make the body not function the way it was intended too???? Its no wonder so many women have some sort of negative issue w/bc.
