Std question

posted 16th Jan
Does anyone know what this means? This is my friends, and she doesn't go to the doctor for another month. Google answers were all crazy about herpes, aids, and cancer, but she has none of that. It's associated with mono but she's never had that either. The only symptom she has is extreme fatigue.

If she has extreme fatigue could it still be mono? My husband had mono and didn't have any of the symptoms associated with it aside from fatigue.

it;s not an STD. It is the mono virus that lives in your body forever. I ahve Epstein Bar. She could have gotten mono years ago and not know.

EDIT: It flares up when you come in contact with the mono virus again.

That's mono. She's been in contact with it at some point, whether she got sick or not. It's one of those things that unfortunately stays in the body forever.

If the VCA-IgM is negative but VCA-IgG and an EBNA antibody are positive, then it is likely that the person tested had a previous EBV infection.

My guess is that the STD is for standard range. Not an actual STD lmao.

It says it causes mono and that it is the most common virus people have. So that doesn't sound to bad. Says 90-95 percent of adults have been infected. An that once infected you will always have it. So it will always show up on testing I suppose?

Apperantly most of us in this thread have it. So I'd say we are all dealing with it and don't even know we got it. Crazy.

Really? That's pretty miserable. There was a 2-3 week period I was literally only awake like 3-4 hrs a day. I can't do that on a regular basis lol
