If your baby came out naturally.. What did you do with it??

I feel like I need to do some kid of funeral or something.. I can't just fluh it or throw it away.. I know it is so little but to me it is still MY baby.. Wether it's alive or not   I'm just not sure what to do! Can any one else tell me what you did??

I miscarried in the toilet. My losses were all early, though (two at 6 weeks, and one at 11 weeks), so there wasn't a discernible baby. I passed a lot more tissue with my 11 week loss, but I couldn't bring myself to look in the toilet. I didn't do anything with the babies, but I'll never forget them.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I buried them in the yard & planted a memorial garden there. When ti was too cold outside I put them in the freezer wrapped in a hanky until the ground thawed. Not perfect, but best I could do.

She got about halfway out when I was on the toilet and my husband attempted to deliver her fully (she was still alive  ) but she got stuck. We didn't know what to do so we called 911 and they sent an ambulance. At the hospital with the midwife I was able to finish delivering her. I had been 15 weeks.

We held her and admired her tiny hands and tiny feet with her teeny tiny fingers and toes and when we were ready they took her away and took pictures of her. We were given two options: To leave her with the hospital for pathology or to leave her with a funeral director. What I wanted was to take her home and bury her with a small family service but they wouldn't let me just take her myself. In the end I'm glad I chose the hospital because I need the documented evidence that she was normal for insurance reasons.

I can't express enough how grateful I was to be able to see her and hold her and get pictures. It's all I have of her and I really cherish those memories.

My other losses were much earlier (5-6 weeks) and two of them were missed and needed D&C. I didn't have any kind of service or memento of them because I wasn't nearly so bonded.

My baby was delivered at home (we were 11wks). It was the baby enclosed in the sac. We placed the baby inside a black velvet drawstring bag. We bought a small unfinished wooden box & we painted it together. When it was dry, we wrote loving message to our baby inside. We lined the box in tulle leftover from our wedding. My husband placed the bag on top of the tulle & we closed the box.

We held a cremation at his parents' farm where he & I prayed together and watched the sunset. He filled a small urn we bought online with ashes and we placed the urn inside a memorial teddy bear I bought from the same company. We loved that idea b/c although we never got to hold our baby, we could hold this teddy bear and feel comforted.

I'm SO sorry for your loss and I send prayers to you for the strength to get through the coming days. I hope that you have loved ones to talk to about your sadness, but if you don't, please reach out to others here or through another forum. I found a really supportive fb group that I'd be happy to give you a link to if you wanted sometime. Peace & love to you <3

I am very sorry for your loss.
I've seen you around, and my heart goes out to you so much.
I lost my first child at 22 weeks 3 days and also opted to leave her with the hospital.

Thank you so much. I will be having surgery to prevent that is almost 100% effective in preventing another loss due to incompetent cervix. Did you get to hold your baby?
