Seperation due to work.

My husband just got an amazing job offer about an hour away.
My brother works there on the same shift my husband got on, well we dont have a car right now, so hes going to go stay with my brother untill we have enough money saved up to go get a house over that way. I have only spent one night away from my husband since weve been married, and now were going to be away from eachother for ATLEAST 2 weeks, if not a month. It cost alot of money to drive over here with my brothers truck so driving over here so we can see eachother is not an option. I feel like the biggest baby. I could already cry just thinking about it.
For ladies in the situation, how the heck do you deal?

2 weeks isn't bad. My DH has to travel for work all the time. He's left months at a time but the longest has been 4 months. It sucks but constant communication helps. Can you Skype?

Our situation is a little different. My husband is in the army and is gone in the field 2 weeks out of every month. It really sucks but I've gotten use to it. I keep my self busy with kids and house work while he's gone it helps a little. I also don't get to talk to him at all while he's gone.

Aw, I had a similar scenario where I had to live separate from my husband for a different reason but it was hard. I lived with my mom, though and I had my best friends close by. I cannot imagine being stuck here alone with the kids for 2 weeks all by myself! You always have us on BG. A lot of girls on here are in a situation like that.

I don't think so.. unless my brother has a computer which Idont think he does.

I know people in the military have it way worse. But I'm just not used to it that's all. I've spent everyday with him since we've gotten together. Just gonna miss my hubby.

I wouldn't say we have it way worse. Anyone who is away from a loved one will miss them no matter how long they are away. Just try to keep yourself busy it will help.

My husband and i were 3 1/2 hours away from each other the first half of our relationship and right now, im currently staying with my parents and will be for the next school semester, 2 and 1/2 hours away from my husband. no matter how much we've had to be apart, ill never get really used to it. i miss him so much all the time and our daughter misses him too. the thing that keeps us going is that we'll get to see each other every week or two if possible and once the semesters over we wont have to be apart for months at a time again. its hard not being able to fall asleep next to and wake up next to my husband every night but i know this situation wont be forever. i keep busy with tending to our daughter, netflix, and lots of reading!
