So I narrowed my own list down to these 2 names, SO hasn't said anything yet which I'm taking as a good thing because he usually has something negative to say right off.

I keep seeing OP in all kinds of forums and I usually get them right away but am just not getting this one? But personally I don't look at Emery like a boy name, it sounds girly to me and thats what SO and I have picked as our girl name.

It means strength and power. Pretty masculine lol but they long ee is slightly feminine.
Woman can be strong and powerful.. I look at it like girly because of the EM in the begining, reminds me of like Emily or Ember. and with the ERY it reminds me or Marie but with an E in the begining.

I would do emery elise because emery sage looks like a boys name since tbey are both masculine names
