You're madly in love with SO & they tell you their "number" & it's higher than you expected. Does it change the way you feel about them?


When DH & I were dating, we had a conversation about our sexual history (minus details of course). We were both kind of.. Free with our love? Lol. We didn't exchange numbers but admitted it was high. It never bothered me in the least, nor did mine bother him. I guess it made me feel better to be with someone with a similar past as opposed to being with someone who's been with 2 or 3. I could see that being used as ammo in that kind of situation I guess.. Anyways. Anyone else?  

My SO told me his number (10), and he did not want to know mine....thank God because multiply his by 3 and there's mine :/ YIKESSSS

if I was really in love with the person and was sure he loved me as well, I'd like to say it wouldn't matter.. past is past, unless he picked up some STD or something. I really have no comparison though, because hubby and I lost it to each other when we were dating, but I'd like to think I wouldn't make a big deal of it had he been with other people before.

Itd be something I'd get past but I can't say It wouldn't be weird at first. I'm weird about SOs 5, so of he'd been a whore idk what I would have thought. I think my number threw him back but he's been great and never made me feel weird about it.

Mine is weird because my boyfriend told me he slept with girls but it turns out he was a virgin! That was wierd, lol. I guess he thought if i knew he was a Virgin i would think he was weird.. Me on the other hand, ive been with 12 guys. I onky told him 5 because those are the guys i slept with more then once, the others were one might stands... Bleh, that sounds horrible lol

Yeah kinda. SO and I lost it to each other so I'm biased. I think if I had been with other people before him it would be different.
We broke up a few months ago and I slept with somebody else before we got back together and it affects his view of me.

It would matter, but not enough for me to leave.

DH and I were each other's first. We broke up for a while and while he remains the only one I've been with, I'm certainly not his. It is what it is. I wasn't thrilled, but he loves me & has no desire for any of that anymore so I definitely don't dwell on it.

I hope someday SO doesn't dwell on it. I don't regret doing what I did but I regret hurting him. I wasn't expecting to get back together.......at all.

I'm sorry. I knew that if DH and I got back together everything that happened while apart had to be left in the past. I had to fully forgive, and move on. I hope your SO can get to that point. It's not fair to make you live in the past like that.

He said he forgave me as soon as I told him but I know it bothers him. It's not been long at all so he probably just needs time. It's a bummer that we're not each other's "only" anymore but like you said, it is what it is.

It wouldn't bother me unless they were still adding to their number while in a relationship with me. I'm DH's 3rd and he's my 14th. Lol. I'm glad he's not disturbed by my promiscuity.
