I don't want to be a liar but....

posted 6th Jun
So here is the back story. My husband is in the army and we are PCSing (moving to another base)June 21st
I am 11 weeks along and at 9 weeks I went to the ER because of kidney problems and the doctor tried to let us hear the heartbeat, but he couldn't get anything. I wasn't to worried because we had an appointment with an OBG at 11 weeks.
So we went to the appointment and the doctor again tried to get a heartbeat and nothing. So now I am getting a little worried. The doctor said my uterus MAY be tilted or folded over (but she didn't explain really what either meant) and that we should get an ultrasound before we PCS. So I called to make the appointment and the only appointment they have is after we would already be gone. End of story.
So now I am worried and stressed. My sister in law suggested I just lie and go to the ER and tell them I am cramping and bleeding a little so I can just get that ultrasound before I leave. I know this is completely dishonest. I am just not sure what do. Does anyone have any advice?

I have lied and gone to the ER but it was because i was genuinely concerned and my doctor wouldnt listen... i ended up being right that something was wrong!!

I have a tilted uterus and it does make it harder for doctors to find heartbeats...

I'd do it, it'll ease your stress and I bet they'd be nice about it, they should be anyway.

from what I have heard some ladies have been sent home from ER and told to see the Dr asap and one lady I know actually lost her baby because they did not do the U/S.

I would hate for you to go through it all and still not get what you want.

I have a tilted uterus. It means the baby for me sits further back twords my back and more of my intestens get pushed forward than back and all beby be up front. Also if I want to hear the baby I have to lay a certain way and have my knees bent up. I am sure the baby is good. But I can understand your concern.

I'd Lie for sure. I started bleeding yesterday and I was worried and my dr said they couldnt get me in till next week. So i was going to go to the ER and say I had been bleeding since the day before, fortunately i went to another dr and they did a vaginal ultrasound and found the babys heart beat!

apprently your uterus is behind the pelvic bone until you are about 13 / 14 weeks so its hard to get a heart beat reading before then.

i dont see the harm in going to the ER if it is going to put your mind at rest, the last thing you should be doing is stressing.
