I would talk to her for sure. I had PTSD from my birthing experience and I cry about it 3 years later.. I wish I took the help when my doctor offered it from the very beginning.

I just thought I'd get over it by myself. So talking about it is a good idea! don't be scared, she will understand! that's her job and what she's been trained to do

She is the right person. I am sure many women's PPD is caused by birth trauma and I am sure she has heard it. My psychologist I went to see specifically asked about birth trauma as well because it is a common contributor.

It is not your job to shield her, don't worry about that, it is her job to help you her better and you deserve the help to work through it.

Is that an option? Or you cant go see someone at all without a referral? I hope you can get in fast.
