Back Pain

posted 15th Jan
As I was bending over to put my pants on this morning, I felt my back stretch. It hurt to come back up, so I stayed like that for a while until I eased myself back up. My lower back had been hurting since then. I can't bend over at all with out it hurting. Sitting down makes it uncomfortable, and laying down I can still feel the pain. I had a drs appointment today so I brought it up, he said it was normal and told me to use a heating pad on it. The heat makes it feel ok, but I was wondering if this is happening to anyone else? I'm 19 wks and I'm not big at all, do you think it's even pregnancy related?

Welcome to the world of pregnancy!!! lol. Rotate heat and ice and keep off your feet for a bit. Take some tylenol. Not much you can do, hope it eases up a bit!

ugh for sure. i have been in so much pain lately. i finally saw my chiropractor today-- i highly recommend seeing a good chiro while pregnant.

Anyway, even though we are not HUGE yet, relaxin is smurfing with our ligaments and smurf and hormones are making things funky so yea it is totally normal.

I think its normal my back started hurting around24 weeks. and now i am 29 weeks and off of work because of back problems. try a heating pad and pre natal yoga and of course get back rubs! i wanted to see a chiropractor and i agree with the idea but they are expensive! so im going with the yoga and heating pad.

It's your muscles stretching. Getting a back brace at a baby store and work on doing yoga and other muscle strengthing activities. Your back is hurting because your muscles are too weak. It could also have to do with how the baby lays...so work on repositioning your chunka! I had two 9 pound babies. It's not fun. lol
