Sick kid help!

posted 15th Jan
Okay so I've never dealt with anything like this. My newly 3 year old has been throwing up since 8 am with a fever (keeps breaking and coming back). He can't keep anything down past a few minutes. At what point do I take him in? He's only 32 lbs I worry about dehydration.

I'd take him in ASAP. Better safe than sorry. Good luck mama. Hope he feels better soon.

I would take him in already if he's still unable to keep anything down. Some Zofran or something similar should help.

This!!! Also if he is 3 you could try over the counter anti nausea meds first if you wuold like. They always make me alot sicker though. Or you could call an after hours line.

My 10 month old was doing this and I took him to the doctor and she really thought it was the flu because she said alot of little kids are getting the flu right now. So maybe that's what it is?

Yeah it sucks, I've been there only DD didn't have a fever because she was throwing up constantly after someone gave her stuff that had dairy & gluten in it & she's got a sensitivity/allergy. They gave her Zofran and it really helped.

I'd take him. Not only is the flu going around but there's a really yucky stomach virus too.

Yeah he has the flu. I just worry about dehydration and his brain not having enough magnesium from it.

lol ,No she deff swabbed him, but he doesn't have it. I would know she wasn't a good doctor if she didn't.
