3 year old in crib?

Is it bad that my son still sleeps in a crib at 3 years old?  

we've been meaning to switch him to a toddler bed, but I can't afford the loss of sleep at night, if he rebels against sleeping in the toddler bed... because of early school classes, and SO working all night.


i feel like a horrible mom for him to be in a crib still at 3  

he just turned 3 in november

It's not horrible but he can hurt himself by climbing out of it. At 3 just skip the toddler bed and go straight for a twin. Let him pick out the sheets and stuff.

DS turned 3 september 30th. he is still in his crib

If he's fine, don't worry about it.
A toddler bed is the same size so it's not like he'd have more room in one

Eh... I'd mostly be concerned about him climb ing out and getting hurt.. I'd switch personally, but I don't think it's horrible.

he's never tried climbing out and hasn't shown interest in climbing out.. hopefully he doesn't start. We're going to look into some twin beds, i think, maybe get one with taxes

I think it is fine. At least he sleeps on his own, my 4 year old will only sleep in his own bed at my moms house   If he told me he would sleep in a crib I would go buy him one lol

  yeah, he hates sleeping with me, unless we're away from home. i miss cuddles tho.  

I think it makes you a good parent. All of my friends are switching their toddlers to toddler beds at 9, 12, 14 months and I think it's nuts. My DD is 18mo and will be in a crib most likely until she is 3.

mine will most likely be until he is 4   whats the weight limit? do you know?

It's got to be high because my DH slept in DD's crib with her sometimes when she was younger. Lol. He weighs 140.

lol ok. well , DS is 39 lbs so hopefully he's fine
