This is what we have been doing for the past nearly two years. It is now routine, but still makes for an unpleasant system in our home.

His therapist says he has been exposed to inappropriate sexual behavior outside of our home and has perhaps been molested. He has had two therapists come to this conclusion. My boy won't open up to the therapist about sex at all. He gets very silent, guilty looking, and won't look therapist in the eye. He was checked out by OCS. The people there said something had definitely happened but he was noncooperative in telling them what happened. He did tell his Dad and myself about a couple of incidents with my husbands ex (I really don't want to get into that) but he only spoke to his first therapist about it, and will not bring it up with the current therapist who is female.

Oh Momma, I'm so sorry.   I can only imagine how worried and upset you must be to have to even think about how to help your son.

What did the child psychologist say? Have they mentioned inpatient treatment?

I really hate to say, because I can't imagine being in your shoes, since they're all your children, but I really don't think a simple therapist is going to be able to do much for this. Maybe a psychiatrist, at least.. My heart aches for you and your family, what a difficult predicament to be in.

I would absolutely have him in an inpatient facility. You cannot continue to put your daughters at risk.

And leaving him in the home would be emotionally harmful to your daughters who were already victims of his behavior. I would seek therapy for them while he's out of the home at an inpatient facility and help you determine what is best for the family as a whole.

Wouldn't want to think this but just read the post again, it seem's a bit extreme for such a young child, has he been round anyone that could of done anything or seen anything on t.v?Cos this really doesn't seem normal for such a young child.It's a horrible thought and hope its just a phase he's going through.

Masturbating in the privacy of one's own room and doing it while sitting next to your siblings is completely different.

It's common for young boys to masturbate. This is not the issue in this scenario.
