I mean, to me the weed is a non issue. I smoke marijuana, so, I obviously wouldn't call the cops about it. If I went over to get my kid and they wouldn't let me get her, that would be a different story. I'm not sure if that's what you're getting at?

I wouldn't do anything based off the fact I smelled weed. I wouldn't call the police on him if he was smoking in his own house and your child wasn't even there. That's stupid.

No, I called him to discuss some issues about our daughter and he wanted to yell about our past. Thats when I went over there. I work a double shift tomorrow so it could not wait. She cant go to day care since she has strep.

If I was picking her up from visitation or about to drop her off, I'd call CPS. Idgaf what he does in his "off" time but his house better be smoke-free and he better be stone cold sober when he has our kid.

He was ready for her to be dropped off though, he didn't know she wasn't coming.

He thought the kid was coming over later on... could have been completely sober by then. It was pot, not a 3 day psychadelic trip. Personally I would not have called the cops... If you ever had a drink while the kid was with the dad, could he call on you then?

I would get over it, because it's just marijuana and it's not like he has the kid anyways.

My issue with the cop calling/CPS thing is that (besides it seeming pretty over the top generally speaking) I don't think that will help his being "hostile and uncooperative" with you very much in the future. Chances are, if the police were even able to obtain a warrant, and found some pot, he wouldn't be reprimanded enough to change anything--just enough to piss him off.


Don't get me wrong, he sounds like a dick, but I don't think tattling on him for pot in this situation did either of you any good, and will probably make him even harder to deal with in the future.
