Constantly eating but picky

Ok, so my son keeps telling me he is hungry like every hour but when I make him food he picks at it and then doesn't really eat it! Then an hour later of course he is hungry again because he refused to eat before.

How can I fix this? It's really frustrating. He is hungry but apparently all of a sudden extremely picky?

Ugh, DS does this. He'll name something he wants, I cook it... It doesn't touch it. We waste so much food!

Stop making him something else? Keep putting whatever you first made him in the fridge until he eats it.

For one thing I wouldn't make him something everytime he says he's hungry. If I did that with my girls I'd be making food all day, most of the time they say it out of habit or boredom. Also what I would is make him something and if he doesn't eat it either save it or throw it out and he doesn't get anything else till next meal time.

We do scheduled meal times. If she doesn't want to eat what I put in front of her, she has to wait until snack, or the next meal, etc.
