ReGaining your Virginity

"I just read this whole long article about women who have surgical hymen replacement and/or also go through a spiritual process to become "virgins" again. Some are just sorry that they had sex when they did. Others were raped and feel that they should get back something that rightfully belongs to them. Still others truly fear for their lives, having come to America, and fearing that if it is discovered they are no longer virgins in their home country they will be subject to a mercy killing. A few women even just did the replacement as a "gift" to their husbands so they could have the physical feeling of "taking a virgin" again.
What do you think of this?

Do you think that one can really reclaim their virginity physically, spiritually, or both?

Do you think the presence of the hymen is what makes you a virgin?

Do you think you can have all other kinds of sexual activity, including anal intercourse and still consider yourself a "virgin"?

For you, when do you feel virginity is lost? "

I think if you willingly gave in to sexual temptation, then you have lost your virginity... you cant get it back, no matter what surgery you get...

However, i think rape victims, molestation victims, etc who were not given the free choice to lose thier virginity can still be considered virgins, IMO...

I agree. I was raped when I was 12. I willingly lost my viginity when I was 16.

I did learn in sex ed about something considered a second virginity for rape victims. I can't imagine someone losing their virginity to someone against their will. My heart goes out to them.

No hymen the first time I had sex--the thing can break in many ways that have nada to do w/ sex or your vagina.

Surgical alteration seems silly to me.

If spiritual virginity helps a person's mental well being, though, I say why not?

I don't think the presence or absence of your hymen determines your virginity status. If a penis has entered your vagina, you're no longer a virgin. Period.

I do, however, believe there is an exception for rape victims.

I believe one can recommit not to have sex again from whatever time they choose to recommit until they are married, but that doesn't mean they're a virgin again, spiritually or otherwise; it just means they have recommitted not to have premarital sex anymore.

As far as oral/anal sex, I don't think either of them would affect one's virginity, but I do think they affect one's sexual purity, since they're both sexual acts.

I wish I were stilla virgin but then again I would not have baby girl if I were.....

I don't think a hymen present or not determines if one is a virgin...I read somewhere that some woman break theres way before they ever have sex...even a tampon could do it, or other vigorous activities like sports. I also wanna say someone may not be born with one (not for sure lol because I can't remember ha!)...also if you are raped I still consider you a virgin...I suppose physiocally you are not in a sense..but to me, you didn't willingly give it up...

My husband was a virgin when we met, and I was far from it lol..I do wish sometimes I could've given him that, or at least to someone special..but I learned alot on my wild crazy, younger years lol and I am gratfeul for my knowledge that Ihave...

If a woman wants to have the surgery, she can go for it...it may make it physically tighter, but how big is it really lol? I know mine is not, or at elast i like to think it isn't ha! And that new hymen would be good for what, one round in bed, mayne 2 or 3??
