Sounds like not a very smart idea while you are pregnant...

My brother did juicing for an entire month (for religious reasons, NOT as a diet)

Yep, he lost 40-50lb that month, but as soon as he started eating again, he gained it back plus some. Again, this didn't matter to him, because he was doing it for religious reason, not to lose weight.

I wouldn't do any diet when pregnant apart from eat healthy like plenty of fresh fruit and veg and plenty of water

a 40lbs loss in a month is NOT healthy and you should NEVER diet while pregnant

Looking at your profile I am assuming you are not pregnant.
Crash dieting is not good for you at all, you should still eat at least once a day if you are going to do something like that.

Lifestyle changes are the way to go, exercising often and eating right.

No. Not while pregnant. Not while not pregnant. They work because you are starving yourself and depriving your body of what it really needs which is food.

As soon as she goes back to eating food, she'll gain it all back...and them some.

Why not eat healthy to begin with?

Throwing your body into starvation mode will screw you up.

If you want to try it then go for it..dont matter what other people think. I for one know I couldnt do it..I need food!! lol My friend was juicing for a month and lost close to 30lbs but she worked out like crazy also she calmed down on it and gained five back which isnt awful...If you did it to jump start weight loss but continued to workout and eat clean im sure you could keep it off just fine.

Seriously.

Like I said, my brother gained it all back PLUS some. And it's not because he started eating like crap.

Change your due date, and people wouldn't think that.
