Measuring Big? We now know Why...

My child is a beast! Already, the little stinker weighs 5-1/2 pounds! At my last OB appointment, they said that I was measuring 3 weeks ahead and wanted to get another U/S done to see if my little one confirmed. Well, needless to say the little porker confirmed. She is gigantic! And she is breech. The doctors do not think that she is going to be able to turn on her own and have started to talk to me about a C-Section to be scheduled July 30th. The bladder infection that I swore I had is just her kicking the crap out of my bladder, little brat. I felt what I thought was her trying to turn last night. It felt as though she got stuck in a transverse position, but eventually turned herself back to feet down. This is going to be a LONG two months... K.

DANG GIRL!!!! Thats a big baby!!! Im 30 weeks and they are estimating just a tad over 3 lbs!

at 30 weeks my baby was measuring a little over 4 pounds and at 37 weeks he was measuring at 9 lbs 12 ozs. those can be off sometimes.. my uterus has been measuring ahead ever since i was 23 weeks.. it started off as 2 weeks ahead and when i got to 35 weeks it was measuring 41.. im scheduled to have a c-section next week because we dont want to take a risk on the baby being big and getting stuck due to my low pelvic bone.. the doctor estimated my baby to be close to 11 lbs if i go all the way to 40 weeks.. but those ultrasounds can be off by about 2 pounds either way..

Wow! My u/s yesterday only estimated my baby at 4.5 lbs. at 32 weeks.

I just had a friend deliever a little boy that was 10 lbs 15 oz! I was like dang girl he is the size of a thanksgiving turkey lol!

lol im prone to big babies.. my mom had 4 and her biggest was 10 lbs 11 ozs.. im nervous to see how big he actually is.. but i guess we'll find out next week!!

wow!! ive been measuring 3 weeks ahead i wonder if my baby girl will be big!! my son was 8 1/2 pounds

My MIL's boys were all close to 10 lbs. I thanked her properly for these lovely genes. I figure either way, I'm just gonna go with the flow. I mean I am not really interested in pushing for a ton of hours to find out that I need a C-Section because the bruiser is too big. And I like the idea of a schedule instead of messing around with oh, am I in labor, is this false labor, etc... I trust my OB and know that she will do what is best for me and best for my daughter.

I'm almost 21 weeks and my little firl is about 3 1/2 pounds and is over 14 inches long. Good luck to you both and if the July 30th is the big dayyy woooo hoooo that is my birthday and I sure hope my little girl decides to stay in until after then.

You mean 31 weeks? Cuz I was thinking 3.5 lbs at 21 weeks is insane!

I'm 30 and my son is 3 lbs..... 21 weeks should be about 10.5 ounces!!!!
