Contractions for more than 24 hours!

Okay ladies, I need advice!

I'm only 28 weeks preg. and Last Wednesday night, I was having regular contractions every 5-7 minutes.I timed them for an hour before calling my OB. After I called him, he told me to go to L&D to get checked out and then the hospital would call him if need be. I went to the hospital and they hooked me up to the moniters, checked my cervix and did the FFN test. My cervix had not changed, the FFN came back negative but contractions were as I had stated. The Dr at the hospital said I had an irritable uterus and sent me home with some Ambien to help me sleep. I've had mild/regular BH contractions ever since, but since about lunch time yesterday it has gotten bad.

They are coming regular, I can't keep any food down hardly, I've had diahrea (sp?), and I got like 2.5 hours of sleep last night because of them. They are making me absolutely miserable! My Dr's office is already closed for the day and I don't want to just go back up to L&D for them to do the same thing and nothing change.

Any suggestions? I'm miserable, but don't want to bother anyone if nothing is going to help :/

BTW: I never even got my prescription for Ambien filled, I'm too scared to take it!

Go back to L&D! It is always better to be safe than sorry. Besides, it has been almost a week and a lot can change in a week. you're pregnant, its a hospital and you're not bothering anyone. It is their job to take care of you and your baby.
