I just use what ive got! I try to always use fresh veggies, if you only have canned or frozen just add them a little later. Ill tell ya what Ive got in the crock right now ... 1lb beef roast (whole), 4 carrots peeled and chopped, 1 large onion, about 6 red potatoes (quartered), 2 small cans of cream of mushroom soup, and about 2 cups of water. When its almost ready I will add a can of sweet peas! I cook the roast on high for at least an hour with just the water and cream of mushroom, then I add the veggies and let it cook on low for how ever long you feel! Usually about 4-5 hours!
