Quoting EmilyLester:" I wasn't sure where to post this topic or not, i don't want to offend anyone who has miscarried before, ... [snip!] ... test to go off of. has anyone been through this? do i need to get checked out? or could this be normal due to my paragard? "
Quoting Not tellin:" It isn't uncommon to have a "wonky" period once in a while. Especially while on B/C. I would be less inclined to believe it is a miscarriage. "Thank you. I am a constant worrier. I haven't been feeling so good lately either. alot of it has to do with paragard. light headed, dizzy, sleeping constantly. I'm trying to get into the doctor today, i feel something somewhere is out of whack. im starting to think im getting copper toxicitity. I've never had any luck with birthcontrol, i chose paragard because i can't have hormonal birthcontrol and i'm even starting to regret that decision. If i wasn't wanting more children i would just go get my tubes tied but i think my husband would have a fit over that one lol
Quoting Cheeks mom:" If your concerned I would go see your doctor or go to the ER. Good luck!"

Quoting SawceBaws.™:" I was on Paragard for two and a half years and I am no stranger to any of this. However, I would still go get checked out."
Quoting Not tellin:" Correct me if I am wrong but eventually with paraguard, periods get lighter almost non exisitant."That's what i was told by my gyno, but reading everyones horror stories has made me believe otherwise! I have lupus and as a result have micro vascular angina and crohns disease. so far. Knowing that with Lupus any organ can just stop working i am very weary about what i put in my body. i didn't know some of the things paraguard could do. I have chest pains constantly on top of the angina i already suffer from. I take dif meds daily and when i still feel like crap its nerve wracking. I also posted in here because since i do have lupus my chances of miscarriage are also higher. I have also gotten pregnant on the pill and the implanon. i was hoping by switching to a non hormonal bc i would feel some relief in not thinking i'm pregnant every other month, i guess not lol.

Practiced properly, it's as effective as other birth control, without the nasty side effects.
