benadryl overdose!!

Please help! i have no idea what to do! i took my daughter to her babysitter & she gave her some benadryl . . .when i got home i gave her some more not knowing she had already had some! what do i do? she has had over 2 teaspoons!

I'm pretty sure a double dose of benedryl wont hurt anything, she will just sleep it off. Call your doctor if you are worried.

It's not like she drank the bottle, if it makes you feel better call your pedi. She will sleep it off though, and relax we all make mistakes. If it makes you feel better i gave my son exlax by accident when he already had diahrrhea

how old is she, whats her weight and how far apart were the doses given?

shes 20 pounds & about an hour or 2

I am pretty sure a double dose is not enough to cause any issues but you can always call your Doctor to be sure. Most likely, she will just sleep the majority of the day away.

Call poison control and your pedi! Get off the computer. She will likely be fine. but still, call your Dr

if you cant get ahold of her dr then call your local pharmacy....

call poison control they will tell you if she will just sleep it off or if you actually need to get ahold of a pedi or what you can do for her with things in your home.....
