Fixing an iPhone.

So I need some input and advice.

My iPhone is cracked. I was under the impression that I had an upgrade coming up soon, I do but for everything EXCEPT the iPhone. For that, I have to wait until May. I cannot STAND the cracks anymore, the CRACKS are getting cracks.

I found This (http://www.littlebitfunky.com/2012/09/how-to-replace-your-iphone-4-screen.html) on pinterest and it looked easy enough and I wondered if anyone else did this.

OR, I have a close friend whose best friend fixes them as well, basically does the same thing. But guarantees that it is fixed. It will cost more and I will have to send it out to him to have it fixed, but I don't want to do it if fixing my phone myself is possible and as easy as it looks. So I am looking for someone who has fixed their phone themselves or who knows someone who did.

What kind of iphone is it?

Jacob smashed my iphone screen, DH was dead set he could fix it. but even though he can fix them, something always goes wrong. Every time he's had to fix an iphone screen, it's never worked.

The 4s is the hardest screen to repair he said.
