flu shot while pregnant

Did you get it? why or why not? I have heard the flu is really bad. and I sucked it up and got my kids the flu vaccine last week and they had no side effects rather than my 2 year old rufusing to walk shortly after it was done. lol


just saw this thing on FB about a mom dying from the flu leaving her 3 month old twins ( who got the flu)and other child. I just think its crazy people still DIE from the flu. I mean lots of people get it, feel like they got hit by a bus and just get better.. uggh its makaing me wish I got the flu shot at my last appt. I accepted the DTAP vaccine for myself but denied the flu shot. i remember getting the H1N1 vaccine a couple years ago when that happened and I was in early pregnancy too. idk what to do.

I get the flu shot because I'm an RN and have to. My kids got it after they had the flu earlier in the season and I saw how horrible they were.

I say get it, but only if you are feeling 100% healthy.

okay, I feel healthy and normal now besides some random nasuea. my next appt is the 5th of feb, so i will get it then.

But last years flu season was nothing like this one.

I'm not pregnant but I did receive a flu shot and so did my DD.

yeah we all caught that 24 hour stomach virus a few weeks ago it was awful. but i dont think ive ever had the actual FLU and I dont want to either.

Yeah, I dunno why he said not too.
I requested it at one of my visits and he said absolutely not.

I was about 32 weeks along then.
I thought you HAD to have it while pregnant, but I guess not.

I do not nor do my kids. We never have. I'm just uping their Vitamin D intake taking vitamins and washing hands ALL the time.

I read an article about flu shot and preganat women I'm trying to find it now, just confirmed why I do not get it.

I have it right now and it's horrible. I've slept a total of five hours including sporadic naps over the past two days. My throat is in excruciating pain. Hurts to swallow and even hurts to breathe through my mouth but I have to BC my nose is stuffed

I did get the flu shot back in November at 30 weeks pregnant. I usually catch it every year, and my doctor recommended it. I had no side effects besides my arm hurting. Lmao. I was scared I would get sick, but I didn't. I didn't catch the flu yet. Fingers crossed.

Do you mean Vitamin C?

Every time you get a shot caugh when they go to inject you that way your chest tightens up compared to your arm.
