Denying paternity

What's with these dead beat dads not wanting to take up the responsibility for what they have helped make! I just don't understand it ! And they wonder why some women act so cold toward them ! How would you all handle the situation?

I would handle it by taking him to court.

Unless he's a real POS, then just pretend like he never existed.

I would give him a paternity test and file for child support. my childs father used to deny him all the time but when we went to court he declined a paternity test! some men just talk just to talk.

I'd cut my losses and move on. I don't like the idea of forcing someone to parent a child they don't want. But that's just me.

I would wait until the baby is born before calling him a deadbeat dad, though.

He could deny paternity all he wanted. Just means he wouldn't have a part in the childs life but he'd be paying child support unless he signed over his rights. I think if he can make a baby he needs to be man enough to take care of it.

I would never chase after him and bugging and expecting him to take responsibility, pay me and be a part of my sons life *just because* 1 night we got super drunk and carried away..., when I 1st told him I was preg, he didn't want it..
I decided to keep him, he was my responsibilty from there on out...

Eventually he wanted to be a part of my sons life... which is fine... but me and Dean would have been fine either way...

I wouldnt want someone to force me to have a child against my wish, I would feel the same way if I were the father, too.

If he never wanted it from the beginning, sure.

If he changed his mind like halfway through, then hell no. He can financially support it.

You attract the kind of person you yourself truly are. Fix that then you will find a better man (speaking from experience). As for this one, use it as a learning experience and move on. You made the kid just as much as him and it was your choice to keep it. The only choice he gets after that is to deny the child because severing rights is difficult.

Thanks y'all its just a lot if mixed emotions that I have right now I'm not going to force him to do anything for my son. I now know what steps to take after I have my son .

Lol... so u would only go after him if he had money...

No I wouldn't just go after him cause he had money but he should help support the child finically .
