i have absolutely no desire to donate my eggs. To me, it's like putting a child up for adoption. Weird but that's how I feel.

I would feel weird having one of my children out there and not even knowing who he/she is.

I donated eggs while in college. The only con I can think of is while you are taking the meds to increase your eggs you cant have sex because you are extremely fertile. The biggest pro for me was helping someone bring life in the world, at that time I wasnt sure if I even wanted kids, so it was nice to help someone else have a family. The procedure itself isnt painful at all. I would recommend that you locate the clinic in your local area, they will be able to provide you with lots of useful info.

id like to know too. in az they will pay you up to $21k to donate your eggs and im poor so its something ive strongly considered. besides the money you would be helping people who cant have their own babies and thats cool.

Awesome feedback ladies. But I have to say it is easier for me to give up eggs then an actual baby.

i think i would only do it if i decided i didnt want any more children of my own.

id then feel really good about helping someone have a family if they had problems

I can see that....cause its not 100% that the eggs would make it to babies...
that is a decision you would totally have to figure out for yourself...you know

I'm on the other end of this ? I just had a beautiful baby girl and EXTREMLY LUCKY that she did not inherit allllll my health problems. She had a 50/50 chance of inheritting my chromosomal disorder and those 3 weeks waiting for the results sucked! I have always loved children and I most DEFINETLY do not want to stop at one! But I cant see myself producing another child and possibly giving them all my serious health issues, in a way it seems selfish if I were to do that.

HOWEVER this pregnancy was super easy for me, no morning sickness, no back aches, nothing bad at all (exceptthe waking up all night to pee!) So I would VERY much love to carry another child, just not with my horrible genes. I was thinking about looking into using sum1s donated egg with my husbands sperm so it would atleast resemble one of us.

Sorry I can't answer your ?'s but I think it's a wonderful thing to do, for women in my case.
