re: Pros and Cons of Donating eggs????

i think it's a honorble thing to do for someone. Going threw infertility is a very hard thing to go threw. I am happy that there are people who are willing to offer that gift to someone. Who would want someone's eggs, who didn't want to give them up. So I'm glad they don't make people do it. As with adoption some people are willing do it and other's aren't. I for one would if I already had children and had some spare to give out. Your born with all the eggs your ever going to have. Your not going to use them all.

My opinion is that it is a wonderfuland selfless thing to do for someone. My sister, who has had some uterine problems in the past, once asked me that if she wasn't able to have more kids, if I would donate some of my eggs to her, or be a surrogate for her. While thinking about this, I came to the conclusion that that would be really weird, seeing as how we are sisters, but I'd probably do it for her, because she is my sister, and I love her. But luckily for her, she is currently 21 weeks pregnant, and this will be her last baby.
But yes, once I am done having children, I would donate some of my eggs, or be a surrogate.

I don't have a problem with it.

AND if you have a high IQ and are the right age....

they pay you.

I consider it very seriously for a while and would consider doing it in the future.

To be frank, the money is what tempted me. I wasn't raised by my biological parents and perhaps that has impacted my views and opinions on adoption and egg donation. I don't feel being blood related makes you a family and I wouldn't feel strange donating an egg.

That being said, I have also been considering putting my son up for adoption.

Not to pry but why r u considering giving your baby up for adoption?

Because I feel me and my husband are at a point in our lives where it would be exceedingly difficult to raise a child and we are massively in debt and he still has to finish college. I feel neither of use are emotionally or financially prepared to raise another human being and there are many people out there who would be able to provide much better for our son and would be very grateful for a baby. I initially considered abortion and had an appointment scheduled, but decided not to go through with it and my husband was completely against it, as he is with adoption. As I have gotten further along in my pregnancy I've been able to come to terms with becoming a mother and looking forward to raising my son, but I still have reservations and think about adoption often.

O kudos for admitting that u r not ready. But there is help out there for u if u need it. Like the government and other agencies that can help w/ clothing and food if need be
