Is something wrong with me?

posted 14th Jan
OK, so this is going to be super personal and weird to ask, but I don't want to sound like a weird-o calling the doctor tomorrow either if something isn't really wrong.

I was putting in a tampon tonight and notice the skin at the very beginning of the inside of my vagina doesn't look normal. Like one side looks ripped and the other side has a piece hanging loose. I know it's probably possible the skin ripped or something, but it doesn't hurt either. Wouldn't it hurt if it was "ripped"? Will it repair itself or is it something the doctor should double look?

This is going to sound stupid, but I have no clue how long it's been this way and I normally don't examine myself very closely and neither does DH.

I don't know what to do and while it doesn't hurt, it's going to bug me because I know it's that way...

EDIT: Could it be botched from back when I had Chris and needed stitched up?

That's what I'd have assumed as well. I guess it's better to go and be checked to be sure. If it's a cosmetic error or something, I will want to know how to go about getting it repaired anyways. I hope it'll just heal itself, but I wanna be sure.

I was thinking the exact same thing and I'll look like a huge dork going to the doctor over that as well. It doesn't hurt and it looks fine....just doesn't look normal. DH has never said anything either, but this sucks

I would want to know too. I'm sure they won't think it's weird they probably get people with way worse things going on down there.

I shouldn't have let a student midwife sew me up. I don't know what I was thinking in the midst of the pain and just wanting to be done...Lol

This is super off though. Like it looks like the skin wasn't sewn down to the other side all the way so it just came loose and is hanging or something. Super embarrassing. I wonder if it's as simple as them numbing me BACK UP and restitching that area where it's a bit messed up? It'd be worth going through the pain to look SEMI-normal again, haha

How would they even repair me now? Would it be as simple as a few touch up stitches?

My Ob said I'd have to talk to a plastic surgeon. It have to be recut and sewn back together and there's the issue of scar tissue.
