Where I'm slacking...

As a mother. Please inform me!

My son refuses to take ANYTHING but milk at bed time. Yes I'm the bad mom who has always laid him down to bed with his bottle. My mistake.

He's turning one in a few days. He needs to no longer take a bottle first off. No more milk at bed time.

Someone please help me not be a bad mom :/

I would just let him throw his fit and just keep offering him water. You have to be strong and not give in.

give him a cup of milk before you put him to bed.

My LO gets milk right before bed not during

this after her learned i was not giving him what he wanted hed take it and go right to sleep hes 3 now and sleeps with his water still... Some nights its gone others the cups still full

DS is almost 3 and was having 3-4 sippys a night of milk..
just this week i said enough and give him just one sippy at bed time then no more. hes been doing good for a week or so of just having the one cup. if he calls me for another i take a cup with just a few sips of water in to him and let him have a sip then i leave.

we are now slowly diluting the milk so in a few weeks itll be strait water instead of strait milk. i dont mind letting him sleep with water but i find it pointless to brush his teeth then let him sleep with milk on them. every monday im going to add a little more water then milk. its going to be a slow process but i think itll work. itll work better adding more water every week then it will every day cause once it gets diluted to a certain point he wont drink it at all. this way i dont think hell catch on that its mostly water.

Well I'm planning now on his birthday the 23rd to throw out the milk at bed time. Let him throw his fit but only water at night and naps from here on. Then probably the next month ditch the bottles for the sippy. Oh no sleep coming my way   thank you ladies.

A friend of mine told me, about night weaning, three nights and it'll be done. The first three nights might be rough, but after that, he'll get it and move on. So I would offer him a cup of milk before bed if that's a routine you're happy with, have a sippy of water available at night in case he's thirsty, and just tell him we don't have milk at night anymore. He will tantrum at first, but they get over it a lot faster than we think they will.

Have him finish it before he lays down...

Throw out the bottles give him a sippy...We used nuby transition cups with Jade she was the 1 that put up a fight about the bottle but 1 week with this cup and she was using the regular nuby cups by the 2nd week

I'm on my 3rd baby, and he is obsessed with fluffy blankets, we have to have these big, plush blankets where ever we go, he has a full on meltdown if he dosnt have 1 near him
