interesting article on procedures for pregnancy of multiples

posted 14th Jan
Someone mention they might receive an external cephalic version, so I was curious as to what exactly that involved, then I noticed an article mentioning internal cephalic version, which made me wonder, and this is what I found. It's very interesting.

That is horrifying. I would never deliver twins with a doctor if at all avoidable.

Maybe I'm missing something...

It looks like a chapter out of a textbook or something.

Quoting loser mom:" Maybe I'm missing something... It looks like a chapter out of a textbook or something. "
It pretty much is. It's the recommended practice for delivery of twins in Germany. It's much better than the standard "cut her open" you get over here, but still a far cry from natural, physiologic birth. The more I learn about birth, the more the medical profession horrifies me.

I found it fascinating, as in reading it I could almost hear the "voice" of the writer when they were exclaiming or warning. While the procedures are scary sounding, it is nice to know that someone out there knows alternatives to csections if a mother cannot deliver completely on her own. I did notice this was something of German origin, as I had never heard of it happening here. Unfortunately, a women would most likely end up with a csection with no alternate methods tried if the birth didn't go perfectly as planned.
At any rate, i found it a fascinating look into the minds of at least one dr. from another country and thought, even if just for informations sake, that others would appreciate a look too.
