There isn't much of anything in Summerville for work and definitely not school, be prepared to travel.

Oh I know, my husbands dad drives from there to Chattanooga everyday, I just love the houses and prices out there

That's really close to where I'm from (Rome, GA). My grandmother lives in this tiny town called Subligna and it's about 15 minutes from Summerville.

How the heck did you guys pick Summerville/Ringgold?? Do you guys have family there or something?

Anyway, OP, I'm sorry he's having a difficult time and I hope he warms up to the idea of leaving home. I've lived in seven different states since 2005 and can remember how terrifying it was to start all over in a place without friends or family. We actually just relocated yet again and I don't know a single person here in North Carolina. We don't have family here either. It's daunting to think about "starting over" but the ends justify the means. Hopefully he'll realize this soon.

ya his whole family lives in ringgold/tunnel hill, but the people that pretty much raised him lives in summerville and I would rather live around them then his mom, we picked out of those 2 for now because I want to be around people that I know at least for the first little bit since i'm moving so far away from all my family and it would be great to have support over there or we will end up coming back to UT again.

***Update***

Hubby is getting really excited about moving now. We talked about his fears and discussed a moving plan, what we both want and whatnot. He has an interview up there on Monday, so we're going to go spend a couple days there and scope the area out too. Hubby has been looking for houses online and he's getting all excited.

If he gets the job, I'm really hoping the move goes good for us! It's a lot to do-moving, renting our house out, possibly buy another house, quit my job at the right time-all while expecting a second baby.

But anyway-we're getting excited. What's meant to be will be!

I'm glad your getting out of western Pennsylvania. I live in Armstrong county and all that's around is gas patch and mines. Hope everything works out for you guys!
