Is anybody using clear blue ovulation tests? Help!

My lines keep getting lighter and today you really can't even see it! Im only on cycle day 12. I started using them cycle day 9 and that was my darkest test. No smiley face yet. Could I have ovulated super early or is this normal and then they will get darker again. I have no idea when I ovulate my periods are irregular from 27-38 days. But usually around 28and 31. When I took this two years ago I never payed attention to the lines but I got a smiley face on day 17. Not that that means anything now lol
