My husband or mom or friend will watch her. It's rare I'll need to leave when she's sick, but on the few times I've had to it sucked. My boss let me work from home at least, so that was a plus.

Unless I'm bleeding or completely unable to stand, I go to work. As far as the kids go, DH and I switch/are on rotation when leaving early/staying home. My work is open all weekend so I'm able to bargain a bit with my boss as far as picking up a shift for the person who covered me. DH's work is also flexible, as his only boss there is his best friend of many years - a fellow family man.

I ask around my family and if no one can do it then I have to call into work.

My best friend was just fired at 6 months pregnant, and offered to be a back up for me.
If need be right now my SO's dad is unemployed, but typically I'd have to call my grandma as a last resort. She lives about 30 minutes away and hates getting up early.

Yeah.. my entire vacation/personal time allowance typically goes to DD lol

I will either leave work to get them, or take a vacation day if I know ahead of time. My work is pretty forgiving though and won't penalize me if I need to leave for my kids.

I don't have a husband & his dad isn't in the picture at all. My mom works full time & pretty much anyone else responsible that I know, haha.
I wish I could work from home!

Oh, and our back up is my mom. She doesn't work.

I tell my LPO my kid is sick and I wont be in...

My grandma, my mil, my sister, or one of my sil watches her. When I work nights my mom will too.

I'm a SAHM now but when my son was 18 months old I put him in daycare and he got sick every other week. That first winter, I don't think I worked a full week because he was in and out of the hospital. Most of the time I took off and my boss was understanding but when my job needed me DH would have to take off. We lost a lot of money and almost wound up homeless. It was awful.

I work for a family oriented firm & get ample sick and vacation time. I just take off if I need to.

I just had to take all week last week b/c my whole house had a viral respiratory funk.
