It should be legal but regulated.

And people should not bring strange men into their homes when their children are there. I would call cps if it was a regular thing. Of course, if prostitution was legal, they could work out of a safe environment and not have to risk their/their families, safety like that.

Why else would it be dangerous? It's no more dangerous, honestly, than a mother and father having sex under the same roof as their children, except for the fact that there's many different partners, which could happen without prostitution. It's sex. The only difference is that the woman is getting paid for it.

I am fairly certain I was sure to say SOME OF THEM. For smurfsake.

And personally, I wouldn't bring complete strangers into my home I just met at a bar just to get some dick. I never have in the 12 years of being a single mom. It just seems dangerous unwise. Money exchanged or not.

LOL, way to generalize all men who pay for sex into one category. Your disdain is showing.

Did you ever think that, maybe, they're not getting laid in their marriage (not condoning cheating here), or have problems talking to women, can't get dates, too busy for dating or relationships? Hell, to some women, all a date is, is payment in advance for sex later. A good meal and some jewelry, and they'll get on a bed for anyone. (SOME women. Not all. Please note that)

Rapists often get off on the rape itself. Why would they pay for it?

If she's caring for her children, putting a roof over their heads, who would someone else be to judge them, and try and be that woman's moral compass?

It's legal in New Zealand. It's been in the paper a lot because there have been issues with the women who work on the streets as opposed to in parlours, they intimidate locals and there are condoms and feces littering the main street of one particular suburb where I live. There are no limits as to where they can solicit, so there's nothing anyone can do. I'm pretty sure most working girls still don't pay taxes as well, but they can't claim anything back either. I'm not really sure how it all works.
They're talking about amending the law to specify where they can work (on the streets) and where parlours can be set up. There was one shut down that was across the road from a primary school

It should be legal. Porn is not illegal so why is prostitution not.

No, I would not call the cops. One because, although it may seem like it there is actually no possible way to be 100% that she's actually sleeping with man for money, prostituing herself unless you're peaking through the window. Two, because it is none of my business and three because it'd be a hassle having to prove that she is actually prostituing her self and I'd be in the middle of an investigation, I have other smurf to worry about.

Um, so can guys you date. I just posted a few months ago about a guy who recognized me out in public, watched me from afar, and then messaged me about it later. It was smurfing creepy. guess you should call CPS on me because I have every intention of continuing to date.

A regular relationship with regular sexual partners can have a mentally unstable partner, or someone who could start stalking. That has nothing to do with sex for money.

Quote where I said that.

And ANYONE can be a rapist. My ex boyfriend raped me for a while, I was in a very abusive relationship. Not all Johns are rapist, just like not all boyfriends or husbands treat their women right.

dating is not illegal...prostitution is. And yes, but the chance of you bringing in ONE creep, compared to MANY MEN! is smaller.

Forgive me, was this thread not about whether or not prostitution should be legal?

And...no, I talk to, go out with, and sleep with a LOT of guys. I would guess my interaction with them isn't much less than a hooker's would be. And I ride public transit and deal with creeps daily. Usually with my child sitting right next to me.

I meant while it being illegal would you call the cops or cps.
You're saying you bring many men into your home and sleep with them now?
Well I can't do anything about that, because its not illegal. Nor is riding the subway!
