I think its crib time :(

posted 14th Jan
My DH and I have been co-sleeping with our DH for most of his 3 1/2 months of life, and it has been amazing. There have been a few nights recently where he has slept in his crib. Lately DS likes to move around in his sleep..a lot. I have been waking up to see DS's face smooshed into my husbands side or back. So I instantly panic and pull him away and make sure he is still breathing. Its not DH or myself that roll around its DS. So last night after another little mini heart attack I think it is time to move DS into his crib. I'm starting to feel unsafe co-sleeping with DS now. I end up moving DS to where I sleep and not in the middle of the bed and then I curl up into a little ball by his feet. That way if he does roll, he isn't going to roll into my husband or myself and bury his face in one of us. I love co-sleeping but I think I may need to try him sleeping in his own crib and see how that goes. Silly little guy, if you just stay still while you sleep, I wouldn't be thinking about moving you to your crib

I think it's that time for us too   dd is 10 months old and I'm worried she's going to roll out of the bed. She also stands up in bed without waking me up. And she chews the head board.

DS2 is turning 1 next week and I'm thinking it's time to put him in his crib too. He has just now started moving around when he sleeps.

I wish DS didn't move around in his sleep. I really don't want to put him in his crib but I think it will be safer with how much he moves around.

Couldn't you get one of those wedge thingys that stops them rolling? I'm getting one for DS because I'm scared he'll try to roll over in his bassinet and smother himself lol

I think it's cute too! My husband does not. She always manages to get up there too even if one of us is trying to prevent her from it! I have not idea what is so exciting about it.

We are starting the transition now too. He is 5 months and so far I've just been putting him in there whenever he falls asleep, any time of the day. He is starting to sleep for longer periods of time in there. Actually had his first 4 hour stretch the other night! We still co-sleep after midnight though. Eventually we'll work on night waking but it's just easier for now.

I think its crib time for us too. I don't want to put her in her crib, but she has began thrashing about and scratching me in her sleep and it's hard for me to sleep with her doing such things.

It probably feels good on her gums or something   Or maybe she just likes the taste lol

Our DD is 9 weeks and she's already starting to move about a bit so I'm thinking I'd better I ahead and start the transition   Makes me sad to even have her in the bassinet next to the bed let alone her crib in another room. Didn't know I'd love co-sleeping so much!
