Quoting lolajessup:" Ive always coslept and couldn't imagine it any other way. I can't sleep with my baby not with me. I always ... [snip!] ... and body temp thus nearly diminishing the risk of SIDS. Many other cultures only cosleep and they don't have sids at all."
Couldn't have said it better myself. I co-slept with my son for 18.5 months and loved it. My daughter was a great night sleeper from the get go so i had her bassinet by my bed and she slept in it for 4-5 months before transferring to a crib.
It works for some people doesnt for others. My choice to co-sleep my son was due to him being up so often and it was easier to flop out my boob and nurse him instead of getting up and nursing him and trying to lay him back down. (yup..lazy ha) plus i needed to be able to function during the day with my eldest. don't stress to much do what works for you!
