Severe sinus infection that was causing the puffiness and swelling in his face and putting pressure on the nerves---also led to his severe migraine/sinus-headache.

They drugged him up and sent him home---without antibiotics. Just Zyrtec and afrin. Not sure how those cure an INFECTION.

But, what do I know?

suins infections most of the time go away on there own i had one that was so bad tho if she even touched my face i would cry she gave me pain meds for that but that was it.

That is crazy! I hope that's really the answer so this hell week can be over for you guys, geesh! And you would think a course of antibiotics couldn't hurt it not like he takes them allot of anything...

My poor daughter has been threw amox the amox compound azytomicin septra witch is bactrum and i just had to do rocephin shots i had to go to the ER 3 days in a row to get them.

The man has had AWFUL facial swelling swelling, facial PARALYSIS and now a headache that brought a US MARINE to his knees and made him vomit uncontrollably and scream in pain...

I think that would be considered more than your average sinus infection.

That must have been so scary. The worst thing I've had happen during a sinus infection was my nose swelled up and looked bruised on the sides. Would some sort of expectorant help ? Like mucinex? I hope he feels better soon.

He's been on mucinex for a week

Seems wierd that with that severe of a sinus infection that they would not prescribe an antibiotic...I have a mild sinus infection and the docs gave me an antibiotic and nose spray and told me to use a netipot. My husband had such a bad sinus infection when he was younger that it almost killed him. I hope he gets better soon
