question...need answers :(

 I'm taking Terabutalin for contractions since I'm in preterm labor(3cm dilated), and sometimes still notice my uterus tightning even with these pills.. is this something I should let the doctor know? IT's not as frequent, and I heard BH contractions were common in the third trimester, but since I'm already dilated it worries me.. ?? What is the difference between contractions that make you dilate and those that just get your uterus warmed up ?

If you are already on meds to stop pre term labor I would talk to your dr with my last pregnancy I was on terbutalin and still had to go in ever day or two for more meds because my contractions kept coming and I had my son six weeks early (not to scare you I just always figure better safe )

i took terabutalin toofor the BH.you shouldn't feel any BH. you should call your doctor and tell him/her

I was on a terbutaline pump for 6 weeks. I Still had contractions. They told me if I had more then 6 an hour to call them.

My doctor put me on procardia to stop pre-term contractions. She told me the contractions were safe as long as they weren't causing changes in the cervix. HOWEVER, how are you supposed to know if your cervix is changing, it's not like you can feel it. So I reccomend calling your doc or l&d. Better safe then sorry.
