DH wants to TTC right after this baby!

I'm in shock! We were talking about how after I have this baby I can't have sex for 6 weeks so we should try to get as much in before then. (Lol) he asked why 6weeks and I said well one, my body needs to heal and two, that's when you're most fertile. Why the heck did he respond with "well that's okay, we can just put #3 in while we're at it" I seriously thought he was kidding and I told him i woul absolutely not do that! He's stuck on wanting to have another baby right after. He says he wouldn't want me to get on bc or anything. Wtf!? It'll be like being pregnant for two years straight. I don't know how to tell him I don't even want anymore kids after this one. I don't want to break his poor little heart and tell him what I'm really thinking (hell no I'm not having another baby! It my body damn it?) how can I put this nicely?

Im sure the first couple weeks of a newborn being up every 2 hours may change his mind a little! lol

Seriously hoping so. Two babies that close in age will be like taking care of twins!

Nah, it will be worse. I have twins. With twins, everything is the same and in a routine. With babies 11 months or so apart you have a different ball game. You have the insecurities of a newborn and the jealousy of a soon to be toddler and that is WORSE! lol

Hell yes! Lol pregnant man. Like Arnold Schwarzenegger!

Sometimes it just happens. And sometimes people plan if like your man wants to. My daughter will be 15 months when the one in the oven is born. I am still in shock. Wing sick and pregnant while tending to a teething cranky baby. Still getting up a lot at night. There will be no break. If I could make it my way, they would have been 3 years apart. But it is what it is. They will be best friends growing up! But take the time to enjoy the babies as babies. I wish I had my alone time with my first but they are both my special surprises and that's ok with me.

This is exactly what I was thinking. It took me forever to even think of TTC because I thought B was still too little and he's almost 4! Lol, the thing is I don't want another kid at all. Not even 4 years from now. I'm done. And Jon wants three!

Yeah my dh was the same way and now i have a14month old and a2 1/2 month old. I feel like i spent the last 2 years being pregnant, because i pretty much did, and it was so hard on my body! It was mentally and emotionally exhausting too. Plus, being pregnant while taking care of a young baby is hard in itself! Just tell him you need to wait longer to ttc for your health and sanity! It's pretty stressful having a newborn and a one year old at the same too!

i think once baby comes he will re-nig hnis request.
my first child was born in june 2009 & by new years i was pregnant with #2.
while i was fairly ignorant about it - 15mths between my 2 boys wasn't that easy. of course i wouldn't have it any other way but they were right, it was hard. i guess it depends on how you cope as a person individually. i am pregnant now with our 3rd (a girl) & the age difference will be much bigger - my eldest will be a mth shy of 4 & the other will 2 & 8mths. i still don't expect it to be easy. while you say you don't want anymore - you can never say never right???

I'd say the person who wants more should compromise w/ the person who wants less... IMO
