I'm having my third on the 1st. I was really scared with my first, it wasn't planned, it was an emergency c section and it was the last thing I wanted But it really is not that bad, the only thing I don't like is getting the spinal, and the medicine never fails to make me throw up. You'll be awake but they'll make sure you don't feel anything. I've heard stories about people not healing properly and all that, but it's always gone smoothly for me. Try to get up and moving around on your own as soon as you can, that'll help your recovery speed up. And don't be afraid to ask for more pain meds, as soon as, if not before you start to get uncomfortable, because once you start to feel it, you'll really feel it. It wasn't a bad pain to me, just like a burning sensation.
Don't try to over do things either though, it's okay to take it easy while you're adjusting. That's really all I can think of. Good luck Momma! I'm sure it'll go fine.

Becauses she's in a full breech. My doctor said with my size, and with it being my first child it's highly unlikly she will flip.

That is bullsmurf... You have time for the baby to turn. Dont let the doctor scare you. Dont make a c section date.

Ya know, you don't have to take your doctors word for it.
Like pp said, I would try to get her to flip.
My niece was born breech, delivered vaginally, no complications whatsoever.
Back in the day, before they did c-sections for the littlest things, they used to deliver twins, breech babies and larger babies vaginally.
But, I wouldn't stress too much. I delivered vaginally, but my SIL has had 2 c sections, recovered quickly and told me it wasn't as scary as she thought it would be.
With labor and delivery, the worst thing to do is stress and be afraid. Whatever will be, will be. I wish I wouldn't have been so scared to deliver DD. It robbed me of the moment. Don't let it rob you of the best moment of you life, love.

I had a c-section in October of 2010, and will be having my second one in May.
It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.
I didn't feel the neadle go into my spine because they put this yellow stuff on my back first so that I wouldn't.
and I never felt them cut me either. They said I might feel pressure, but I felt nothing.
Best of luck momma.

I know c sections sound scary but it wasn't that bad. After 31 hrs of labor & then emergency c section. I'm happy I won't have to see labor ever again! Atleast you can be awake to hear first cry &etc. Just be excited you'll see you're bundle of joy & that's all that matters. Plus having some one to hold your hand during the procedure is nice. Good luck!

My mum said she went into labour and she could see me flip when it started. She had me 2 hours later.
