I was just wondering how much you spend on formula and diapers per month for your new little one? Thank you all. Just worried about not being able to afford it.

I breastfeed so can't help on the formula. Little one goes through 2 packs of newborn size a week, and they are $9.89 a pack.

As a newborn I think I spent around $50/mo on diapers and wipes and I was pumping at first so nothing on formula until he was 6 weeks old. Then maybe $30-40 average until he was 4 or 5 mos?

I always bought by the case on diapers and wipes and never bought formula. I would say about a case & 1/2 a month so maybe $40 in diapers. And the case of wipes would last me like 2-3 months if the kids didn't get to playing with them. lol Costco will be your friend!

When my youngest was a newborn we spent about $50 a month on diapers/wipes and formula at first he used about 1 can a week- which was about $60 a month. ($15 a can). As he got a few months older he starting going through a can every other day or so....it got hella expensive.

I am not sure about WIC I never thought to apply. I think when my LO was a new born we would spend about 80-100 a month now that he is older only about 40ish a month. I think that cost could have been reduced if we used store brand diapers.

I don't use formula but if you think it will be hard to afford then you should try breast feeding... that will save you a ton of money. Not to mention it is very good for you baby.

I breastfeed. I only spend about $15 on diapers because I also use cloth, just not all the time.

Luckily LO doesn't have sensitive skin like DD and can wear generic diapers. I buy 2-3 boxes of walmart diapers a month for LO (she's 3 months old.) 13 bucks and change per box, sooo... 40 dollars a month for just her diapers. (I have 2 kids.) Formula I probably spend about 150 dollars a month. I should say, LO takes Enfamil AR for GERD which is close to 20 bucks a can here, which is why I spend so much on formula. Bleh.

If your worried about diaper money do cloth diapers..There not as bad as everyone thinks they are, it took a lot of research to convince me to do it... The least my sister spends a month on diapers is 80 a month, that's the least. To get me started with cloth I'll only spend about 300 and they grow with her,so she well use them from birth to potty training. Plus they are so cute..lol =). As far as formula goes I have no clue but i know that crap is expensive,...lol

We buy diapers from diapers.com. We just paid 35 bucks for a case of 222 diapers, and that lasts a month. We buy a case of wipes at Kroger's for around 10 bucks and that lasts about a month, also.
I take my friend to the doctor every month and she buys our formula, or else we'd spend about another hundred on that.
