On December 30th, 2012 at 41 weeks, 5 days I went to the hospital to start my induction, they we're giving me a pill to start thinning my cervix & help me start dilating, giving me a pill every four hours starting from noon to midnight. By around 8:15 the next morning I had only dilated to 1 & barley thinned. A couple hours went by and still nothing. I went to the bathroom & started bleeding pretty bad. The nurses had to call my OBGYN because they couldn't figure the source of the bleeding. She came in and said it was because the placenta was detaching from the uterus wall and that I needed to get an emergency c-section. Not even 10 mins later they had me shipped down to surgery. About half hour later at 10:44 am, I had my baby girl. She was 7 pounds 9 ounces, 19 inches long. She was definitely worth the c-section!
