Gall bladder
posted 13th Jan
I had my gall bladder removed last year in April. I'm 5mo pregnant now and I feel as my stomach is stretching, my scars at hurting...from the inside maybe? Idk, I notice it when I stand for long periods of time. Last night I even had a dream one of my scars opened up and started bleeding. I had a lapercoptic (sp?) and the one that was closest to where my gall bladder used to be is the most painful one. Has anyone had this before? Should I bring it up to my dr next time. It seriously bothers me sometimes :/

I had 4 years between my gall bladdar removal and my second pregnancy and didnt have any pain from it BUT i have seen on here where others have said they have felt pain/achyness from it so it may be something to ask your doctor about.

I never really remember my gall bladder scar bothering me while pregnant but eh couldn't hurt to bring it up to Dr.

i had my gallbladder removed april 1st 2010 and found out i was pregnant end of May 2010.... during my pregnancy once i was getting super big, yes i did have more pains in some of the areas i had my as a laproscopy (sp?) as well.. i asked my doctor and he said, just imagine when you had surgery, your body healed up those opened wounds with scar tissue, now its growing and causing that scar tissue to be tugged and stretched on, and scar tissue is typically sensitive... he said a long as was long enough for healing to be completed he wouldn't imagine it would harm anything, just would be uncomfortable at times

its hurting because its scar tissue, scar tissue does not streach like our skin. I had my apendix out i have a big old scar because they had to go in and find it, so they had to cut me open.

I had an ovary and a softball sized tumor removed from a 6" incision 3 months before I got pregnant with my son. I was so scared that it would rip me in two as I stretched (probably sounds funny, but I really was concerned).
The scar tissue did cause some pain and discomfort, and that was from a big, low incision, but I would say don't be worried that it may ache a bit more. It's not a threatening thing, you know?
